Knowing your Windows OS version can be useful when troubleshooting or installing software. Follow these steps to find your Windows version.
Option 1: Using Settings

Open the Start Menu
- Click on the Start button (Windows logo) in the bottom-left corner of your screen.

Go to 'Settings'
- Click on the gear icon or type "Settings" in the search bar and hit Enter.

Navigate to 'System'
- In the Settings window, click on System.

Check the 'About' Section
- On the left sidebar, scroll down and select About.
- Under the Windows specifications section, you'll see your Windows Edition (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11) and the version number.
Option 2: Using the Run Command

Open the 'Run' Dialog:
- Press Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.

Run the 'winver' Command:
- In the Run box, type winver and press Enter.

View OS Information:
- A new window will appear showing the Windows version and build number.
