Install the PaperCut Universal Print Queue
Overview
PaperCut allows employees to securely release print jobs, scan documents to email, and access copier functions after logging in at the device.
- Open System Preferences ( > System Preferences), and open 'Printers and Scanners'.
- Click the + sign or Add Printer
- Select 'IP' or circular network symbol at the top

- Type in the Address
- Papercutmf.hh.nku.edu (not case sensitive)
- Protocol should be set automatically to 'Line Printer Daemon - LPD', if not, select this option.
- Queue should be Papercutmf-Universal (not case sensitive)
- Name can be left default
- Use: Generic PostScript Printer
- Click 'Add':

Important Login Information
When logging in at the copier, use your Employee ID padded with leading zeros until it is 8 digits long.
Examples:
- If your Employee ID is 123, enter 00000123 or if it is 12345, enter 00012345.
Release a Print Job
- At the copier, enter your 8-digit Employee ID and select Log In.
- Select Print Release.
- Select the checkbox next to the print job you want to release.
- If needed, adjust the number of copies.
- Select Print to release the job.
- Select Log Out when finished.
Note: Any print jobs not released will be automatically deleted after the time period configured by the PaperCut administrator.
Scan to Email
- At the copier, enter your 8-digit Employee ID and select Log In.
- Select Scan.
- If needed, change the file name.
- If needed, select Settings to adjust scan options such as file type, orientation, DPI, paper size, or color mode.
- Select Start to begin scanning.
- Select Exit or Log Out when finished.
Make Copies
- At the copier, enter your 8-digit Employee ID and select Log In.
- Select Device Functions.
- Adjust copy settings as needed, including the number of copies.
- Select Start to make your copies.
- When finished, select the Log Out button.
- Confirm by selecting Yes if prompted.
Troubleshooting
- Make sure you are using your Employee ID, not a student ID or another identifier.
- Be sure to enter the ID with leading zeros so the total length is 8 digits.
- If your print job does not appear, confirm it was sent to the PaperCut Universal print queue.
- If the print driver is missing or not working, reinstall the PapercutMF-Universal driver from \\papercutmf\.
