Installing VPN on Windows

 

Visit https://vpn.nku.edu. Enter your NKU username and password.

Click "AnyConnect" on the left side.

Click "Start AnyConnect" in the center.

The will open the download window.  Click "Save File".

Find the installation file on your computer.  Double click to open the installer and follow the prompts to install Cisco AnyConnect.

Start the AnyConnect Client.  Click the Start Menu > Cisco -> Cisco AnyConnect Security Mobility Client.

Enter "vpn.nku.edu" if it is not already in the address box and click "Connect".  Enter your NKU credentials, and you will be connected.

Once connected, you will see your time connected and time remaining.  All connections have a 24 hour limit per session.  To disconnect from the VPN, simply click "Disconnect".  Be sure to save all work on network drives before disconnecting.

There will be an icon for the VPN client in the system tray in the lower right corner.  Click this icon to open the window.
