Installing Cisco Jabber

This article will walk you through the process of installing Cisco Jabber on your computer.

Prerequisites

It is recommended that you have your NKU account provisioned before installing Jabber.

Installation Steps

1. Download the Jabber installer for your system by using the following links based on your operating system:

   Mac OS X

   Windows

2. Double click the file for your operating system to begin the installation process. During the installation process, follow the prompts as shown below:

   

   

   

3. When starting the Jabber client from an NKU-owned computer, enter your username and password. If you are running Jabber on a mac or a computer that is not bound to the NKU domain (i.e. your personal computer), you will need to enter your username in the form of username@nku.edu where username is your NKU user ID.

   

4. When you click "Sign In", accept any certificate errors/warnings that may be presented to you.
