Video Digitization & Kaltura
After your videos have been digitized, they will be added to your Kaltura account. Kaltura is NKU’s video hosting service and can be accessed directly from Canvas. In order for CITE staff to transfer digitized videos to your account, you must have accessed Kaltura at least once. CITE staff will notify you if this needs to be done.
Follow these steps to access your Kaltura videos and add them to your Canvas course:

Log into Canvas and navigate to the course where you want to place the video.

Navigate to the section of the module where you want to place the video.

While in Edit Mode click the Kaltura media icon(
)

A window will come up with a list of all the videos under your account. If you have a lot of videos you can use the search media bar near the top of the window by typing in words in the title.

Find the video you would like to use and click the Select button next to it. Your video will be placed into the content box of that module.
PLEASE NOTE: There are a number of other ways to add Kaltura videos to a Canvas course, but the steps described represent the simplest and most straightforward method.
